Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 April 2026

This privacy notice is provided pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code) and describes how personal data of users visiting the website www.sunset-palmi.it is processed. The Cookie Policy is an integral part of this document.

1. Data controller

Beach Club Srl
Lungomare Costa Viola snc – 89015 Tonnara di Palmi (RC) – Italy
Email: beachclubsrl@gmail.com
Phone: +39 366 4951995

2. Types of data processed

By visiting the website, technical browsing data may be collected, in anonymous and aggregated form:

  • IP address (anonymised)
  • browser, device and operating system type
  • pages visited, session duration, country of origin
  • date and time of access

We do not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers through the website (no active contact forms). Any communication you send us by email or phone will be processed only to respond to your request and will not be used for promotional purposes.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Site functioning (technical cookies): the legal basis is the Controller's legitimate interest in providing a working service (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Aggregate statistics (Google Analytics 4): the legal basis is your free, explicit and revocable consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), given through the cookie banner.
  • Replying to your requests (email/phone): the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

4. Retention period

  • Google Analytics statistics: 13 months (GA4 default)
  • Consent cookie: 180 days
  • Email communications: for the time needed to handle the request, max 24 months

5. Recipients of the data

Statistical data is processed by Google Ireland Limited as a data processor. Google may transfer data to the United States by adhering to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring an adequate level of protection.

We do not share data with other parties for commercial or marketing purposes.

6. Third-party content and CDNs

To ensure the site works correctly and looks as intended, some static technical resources (JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap, and the avatar images attached to reviews published on Tripadvisor) are loaded from Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) operated by third parties. This happens before you have given consent to analytics cookies, because these resources are necessary for the site to render properly.

The site does not install third-party tracking cookies on your device when loading these resources. However, due to the technical nature of HTTP requests, the CDN providers receive in their logs your IP address, browser user-agent and the URL of the page visited. The providers involved are:

  • Google LLC (ajax.googleapis.com) — jQuery library. Privacy policy
  • jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — Bootstrap framework. Privacy policy
  • Tripadvisor LLC (media-cdn.tripadvisor.com) — review user avatars. Privacy policy

The legal basis for this technical transfer is the Controller's legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in delivering a fast, reliable site with the visual content (reviews) that the user expects. We do not voluntarily share any additional personal data with these parties and we do not use the CDNs for profiling, marketing or tracking purposes. The transmitted data is limited to what is technically required to open the HTTP connection.

If you wish to avoid even these passive technical communications, you can install request-blocking browser extensions (e.g. uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger) or use a browser with anti-tracking protection enabled. Disabling these requests may degrade the site's appearance.

7. Your rights

Pursuant to articles 15-22 GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data
  • request rectification or erasure
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to processing
  • request data portability
  • withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal)

To exercise your rights write to beachclubsrl@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or any other competent supervisory authority in your country.

8. Cookies

The site uses technical cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4. For a complete and detailed list, see the Cookie Policy. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the 🍪 button always visible at the bottom-left of the site.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We adopt technical and organisational measures appropriate to protect data from unauthorised access, loss or destruction.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy notice at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on this page.
